The Rev. Dr. Sarah Sanderson-Doughty began her ministry in Elkhart in October of 2014. She recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Ph.D. in Theological Studies. While she pursued that degree she was active in the Village Church, an African-Centric New Church Development in the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee. In 2013-2014, Sarah taught theology at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Viriginia. Prior to resuming doctoral studies, she served as a solo pastor of a rural congregation in the western foothills of the Adirondack mountains in New York state. Sarah shares a love of music with her husband, Kevin, a gifted church musician and composer. Sarah and Kevin delight in their young daughter, Caroline, who is tumbling through life with glee. As a family, they enjoy sharing games and good food with people they love.
