Open Fifths - Free Concert  May 20

First Presbyterian Church - Elkhart presents a free concert, open to the public, in its Music and Arts Series with “THE OPEN FIFTHS” on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 7:30 pm.

ELKHART, Indiana (May 12, 2017) – First Presbyterian Church of Elkhart presents The Open Fifths, Goshen’s male vocal ensemble, in a free concert open to the public on Saturday May 20, 2017 at 7:30 pm at the church.

The Open Fifths will perform their Spring Concert, “In Good Company” with selections ranging from classical to contemporary pop including Grieg’s “Brothers, Sing On” and Biebl’s “Ave Maria,” as well as newer compositions by American composers Morten Lauridsen and group member Lee Dengler. Concluding their second season of singing the finest in men’s choral music, this concert will feature the tight a cappella blend that local audiences have come to appreciate from the twelve-voice ensemble.

This time, the Open Fifths will also sing several numbers accompanied by guitar, oboe, and even ukulele. Co-director Brody Thomas will play piano for three selections. The concert is free and open to the public.

A free-will donation will be requested with all proceeds going to the church’s Housing Emergency Assistance Fund. First Presbyterian Church is located at 200 E. Beardsley, Elkhart. Doors will open at 6:45 pm. [END] (Photo Attached)
