Does the heart of First Presbyterian match your heart?

If your heart seeks to …
experience God's love,
come to know Jesus Christ, or deepen your relationship to Him,
feel the transforming power of the Holy Spirit,
connect with people of all ages and walks of life,
worship and sing God's praises…
this may be the place for you.

Our church's mission

Inviting all to know Christ,

grow in Christ,

and share Christ's love

     In weekly worship:

  • traditional worship in our early service (in the chapel),
  • more relaxed and spirited worship at our second service (in the sanctuary),
  • casual worship at The Bridge in the Lower Level.

In fellowship, with a variety of events and activities, including FEAST (Friends Enjoying a Shared Table) dinners, a variety of meals, outings, and events, church league softball and basketball, and more.

In service, as we serve our neighborhood through volunteering at Beardsley School and our community through a wide variety of activities.

In prayer, as we encourage and support the prayer life of our people through classes, seminars, and our prayer chain.

In children's education, as we nurture children in God's story through our Workshop Rotation Sunday School

In youth activities, through our very active Sunday night PYF (Presbyterian Youth Fellowship), which offers a variety of service projects, retreats, and fun events.

In adult spiritual growth, through a variety of small groups and adult classes, on Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and other times.

In music, through our children’s, youth, adult, and handbell choirs.

In attending to the spiritual growth of special needs adults through our New Horizons class.

In learning, as people from a variety of theological positions, ethnic backgrounds, and socio-economic groups share their questions and faith.

In healing, as we host and support the Samaritan Counseling Center (a nation-wide group of Christian counseling centers that started in our church), and as we explore the healing power of prayer.

And in many, many other ways.
